At Fightsong Studio, my goal is to create art that uplifts and inspires you to dream bigger, believe deeper, and live with joy. My work is designed to remind you of the truth of who God says you are and to guide you forward with grace, beauty, and courage. When you shine, you inspire light in the world around you.
THE HEART BEHIND THE ART
Creating is my response to God’s grace, healing, and hope. My relationship with God, grounded in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, inspires everything I make. I want my art to empower you with unshakeable hope and remind you that God is present, always inviting us into healing and transformation.
After experiencing profound loss and burnout—losing my mom, my dog, and a dear friend within two years—I had to take time away to heal. My mom was my biggest cheerleader and photography mentor, and her absence left a void. But through rest, I rediscovered purpose and joy in creating. Slowly and steadily, I returned to my craft, grateful for the renewed energy and vision to continue.
FROM POTHOLES TO PURPOSE
Before turning to photo-surrealism in 2014, I spent over a decade as a portrait and commercial photographer. My work has always been driven by adventure—exploring remote roads, wild places, capturing moments of light and life, and navigating the beauty and hardships of the world.
Along the way, I’ve learned that life leaves us with “potholes”—emotional and spiritual rough spots we carry until we find healing. I believe that art, especially when partnered with God’s grace, can smooth those potholes. Each piece is designed to realign our hearts and minds, bringing hope, joy, and peace into focus. It’s about more than creating beautiful things—it’s about seeing ourselves through the lens of grace and wholeness.
THE CREATIVE ADVENTURE
Each piece begins with a spark—a vision I feel is divinely placed. From initial sketches and location scouting to gathering props and capturing images, each project is a true adventure, unfolding in forests, along ocean shores, or high in the mountains. In my Redding, California, studio, I hand-stitch these elements together, blending the natural world with a sense of the divine. My process is about seeking beauty in the world and bringing that beauty into your home.
